This past Sunday, after many trials and tribulations, I finally sat down and enjoyed 10 courses of inspired deliciousness at Momofuku Ko. Its the most I’ve ever worked for to get a meal and it was worth it. I will not soon forget my meal at Ko, but one bite in particularly, will hold a special place in the memories of my taste buds - the first bite of the fried short rib. I’m not sure what happened, but my mouth went apeshit. Incredible. (here’s a photo of the dish via scaredy_kat)

I’m in NY for exactly one week and have been waking up every morning at 7 am (PST), frantically hopping on the internet for a chance to eat at Ko. I failed every time. Yesterday was my last chance to secure a reservation during my trip, and I was on a flight at 7 am, so I couldn’t do it. Thankfully, my friend Dave gave it a go for me and came through!! It doesn’t feel quite as rewarding knowing someone else got the reservation for me, but alas, I’m going to finally eat the food!! Thanks Dave!!!

Also, I blacked out the date and time so no stalkers from my Tumblr could come kill me while I was at Momofuku Ko.

Jazz in Transformers 2

I’ve recently become aware of a large community of Transformers fans that were devastated by the death of the autobot Jazz and are begging Michael Bay to put him back in Transformers 2.

Jazz was voiced by Darius McCrary, better known as Eddie Winslow from “Family Matters.” I hope this doesn’t come off racist or as robot stereotyping, but Jazz was clearly supposed to be “the black Transformer.”

He was ripped in half by Megatron in the last act of the film, and ended up being the only Transformer that died. I randomly was on the imdb page for Transformers 2 and found out about this disgruntled group of fans and decided to give them a voice on Aziz is Bored.

Honestly, how hard could it be to repair Jazz? It’s not like he was crushed in a hydraulic press, or dropped in an acid bath; he was just torn in half. Now for a human, that’s a big deal, but for a robot, can’t they patch him back together?

Which begs the following question: is Ratchet even a real doctor? I mean, throughout the entire movie, he fixes NOTHING. The only doctorly thing he does is shoot his ray at Bumblebee’s vocal processor, which doesn’t even work (Yes, I know BB talks at the end, but I’d wager that contact with the AllSpark is what fixed it). Granted, I suppose we can infer that Ratchet repairs BB’s legs. Nevertheless, if connecting two halves of a robot is beyond Ratchet’s capabilities, perhaps they should bring in Wheeljack and get stuff done.

Right on bro.
